Meet The Founder

A Passion for the Smallest Creatures and Their Biggest Impact

EntomoQuest was founded on a simple belief: some of the world's most extraordinary wildlife is also the most overlooked.

My journey began in the United States Marine Corps and eventually led me into biology, horticulture, science education, and entomology. Along the way, I discovered that insects weren't simply something I enjoyed studying. They were a way to connect people with the natural world.

Through teaching, independent field research in Colorado, and participation in butterfly conservation fieldwork in Nepal, I've seen how curiosity can grow into meaningful conservation action.

I created EntomoQuest to share that experience with others, bringing people closer to the fascinating world of invertebrates through education, exploration, and authentic field experiences.

Curiosity Meets Conservation.

From Curiosity to Conversation

My passion for entomology grew through years of studying biology, working in horticulture, and teaching science. But it was stepping into the field that transformed that interest into a deeper purpose.

During a conservation trip to Nepal, I had the opportunity to participate in butterfly observation and population surveys alongside local researchers. That experience reinforced something I believe strongly: conservation begins with understanding the wildlife around us.

Today, I continue that journey through independent insect field research in Colorado, educational outreach, and opportunities to contribute to conservation efforts around the world.

EntomoQuest is my way of bringing others along on that journey—sharing the discoveries, challenges, and extraordinary creatures that make the natural world worth protecting.

Our Misson

Curiosity Meets Conservation

At EntomoQuest, our mission is to inspire curiosity, encourage scientific discovery, and promote the conservation of insects and other invertebrates.

Through live animal education, independent field research, and participation in conservation initiatives, we aim to help people better understand the extraordinary roles these often-overlooked creatures play in our world.

We believe meaningful conservation begins with curiosity. By creating opportunities to observe, explore, and learn, we hope to inspire the next generation of naturalists, researchers, and conservation advocates.

Explore. Discover. Protect.

Where We're Going

Building a Future of Exploration, Education & Conservation

EntomoQuest is growing with a vision of connecting more people to the natural world through hands-on education, independent scientific research, and meaningful conservation experiences.

Our goals include expanding Creature Encounters educational programs, continuing insect field research in Colorado, documenting conservation expeditions, and developing collaborations with researchers and conservation organizations around the world.

With upcoming participation in a conservation initiative in Tanzania in 2027, we're excited to continue building experience, sharing discoveries, and contributing to projects that protect wildlife and their habitats.

As EntomoQuest grows, we hope to inspire a community of curious explorers who believe that even the smallest creatures deserve our attention and protection.

The adventure is just beginning.
